Work Local, Not Corporate
Pharmacy Technician (現在は退職) – GA – 2019年4月18日
Like any close quarters operation, your immediate team is what matters.
The corporate leadership exists, but they are immaterial to the day-to-day operations (other than handing down nebulous edicts devised by some middle manager). Occasionally you'll see them, but they're gone just as quickly. Regional and District levels are the highest levels worth becoming acquainted.
Don't look at the corporate culture. Corporate culture is always the same profound lip service. Focus on the store culture. Pharmacies are cramped spaces, so if you can't get along with your store's staff, you'll be miserable.
If you want to succeed with Walgreens, find a team that you mesh with, be ready for occasional whiplash changes (esp. nonsensical ones), and get to know your patients.
