The Product Development and Maintenance role includes creating itineraries from scratch for walking and hiking tours as well as cultural based tours in the countryside across Japan. This role helps to work collaboratively with the team as well as sales, marketing, operations and procurement department. The task includes research trip for a week or so flexibly, creating tour documentations and review with the team. Most of the work time can be spent for creating tour documentations in order to launch the tours by deadline dates. After the product launch, evaluate the tours and perform strict quality control to update/impromve the products where necessary.

Job responsibilities for the positions available include but are not limited to the following:

• Preliminary research before research trip
• Formulate tour plan/draft concept
• Create model itinerary
• Conduct research trip
• Review content
• Prepare to implement the schedule and create all heavy materials
• Train tour content to sales and operations team
• Enter tour data into in-house system
• Evaluate existing products based on customer feedback and data, market trends and business environment analysis
• Evaluate vendors based on cost-benefit and risk analysis
• Modify and update products based on those evaluations

• Japan travel experience, preferably to diverse nature destinations
• You have a passion for active and adventure travel with experience and knowledge of the destinations and activities we offer
• Experience in extensive travel across Japan and good understanding of the destinations
• Understand market needs, propose itineraries to the team, ability to attention to detail, overcome and find the solution for creating tours

Able to multitask, prioritize and establish deadlines to ensure competing objectives are met. Interpersonal and team skills which enable you to build great relationships internally and externally. Highly confident, competent and articulate individual who can communicate professionally across all levels. Able to work under pressure, motivated to achieve targets and demonstrate a positive attitude, and who follow through. 9:00-18:00 (1 hour lunch break), 8 working hours. Paid overtime occasionally required
