About the Company

Our client is a global organization dedicated to serving collectors and enthusiasts through authentication, grading, and related services. With offices in major cities worldwide—including Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong, and New York—they are now expanding their presence in Japan with the launch of their first physical store in Akihabara.

The Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Lead to manage their flagship location in Akihabara, Tokyo. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a strategic market launch, delivering expert services directly to customers in one of Japan’s most iconic retail districts.

During the initial setup phase, the position will be based at their Tokyo office (Heiwajima). Upon opening, the primary workplace will shift to the Akihabara store.

What you'll do

• You will be responsible for creating procedure manuals to ensure the smooth running of the store.
• You will be responsible for compiling and reporting store performance figures on a weekly basis.
• You will lead the expansion of the stores into other regions and drive initiatives to make the brand more accessible to our customers.
• You will be responsible for planning and promoting initiatives to further strengthen the brand image and to develop new customer segments.

What you'll bring

• Store and people management experience in retail or service industry (4+ years)
• Foundational understanding of the trading card market, terminology, and collector mindset
• Self-starter with high initiative and ownership
• Positive thinker with a flexible, problem-solving mindset
