Shizen Energy was founded three months after the Great East Japan Earthquake by three members who deeply love nature. They shared a strong conviction: "We create our own future." United by the belief that building a better future requires taking action ourselves, rather than blaming others, and seriously tackling problems, Shizen Energy has since aimed for a 100% renewable energy world, together with partners globally, centered around its purpose: "We take action for the blue planet."

The Shizen Energy Group provides a full range of services necessary for the establishment and operation of renewable energy power plants across Japan, including solar, wind, and small hydropower. These services encompass development, EPC (engineering, procurement, construction), O&M (operation & maintenance), and asset management, as well as PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) and the development of energy management systems utilizing AI and IoT technologies.

Overseas, we've completed solar power plants in Brazil, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia, with projects progressing worldwide, starting from the Asia and South America regions.

In 2023, Shizen Energy was selected for "J-Startup," a program promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to support Japanese startups capable of competing and winning globally. We will continue to accelerate our business to drive the global energy transition.

Shizen Energy is a leading Japanese renewable energy developer. Shizen’s International Business is active in developing renewable power plants in South East Asia, Australasia and Brazil as well as undertaking M&A transactions. The business is seeking a Finance Manager to work with the CFO and Business Controller to support overseas group companies with various financial and controlling matters. The job scope is flexible depending on skills and experience of the candidate. This is a full time role based in Tokyo, but with a fully flexible time and place work system in place.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills 資格・経験・スキル

• Knowledge and experience of accounting, tax & finance matters (Proficiency in bookkeeping or controlling, similar to Japan's Level 2 certification, 5 years of practical experience)
• Excellent Excel skills
• Fluent in English and Japanese (N1 or more)（English necessary for day to day work including internal communication with International Business members and external professional service providers. Japanese necessary for less frequent interactions with auditors and tax advisors, as well as some internal communications).
• Independent, proactive and flexible, with excellent communication skills
• 会計、税務、財務に関する知識と経験（簿記2級相当レベル、実務経験5年以上）
• ビジネスレベルのExcelスキル（中級レベル以上）
• 英語・日本語ともにビジネスレベルであること（社内の海外事業部メンバーや外部の専門サービスプロバイダーとのコミュニケーションを含む日常業務に必要な英語力。日本語については、頻度は低いものの監査法人や税務アドバイザーとのやり取り、および一部の社内コミュニケーションで使用。）
• 自律的、主体的で柔軟性があり、優れたコミュニケーション能力を有すること

• Experience with tax, especially global and cross-border tax highly welcome
• Experience using cash flow models
• Renewable energy experience
• Familiarity with the Google operating system
• Experience in managing overseas group companies
