仕事内容

Summary:

The Sales Administrative Executive (SAE) supports the Japan Country Manager by managing enquiries, customer orders, deliveries, quality issues, and technical concerns. This role liaises with the PEI Global team (especially APAC) to facilitate swift resolutions, develops new customers, and maintains/enhances existing client relationships.

This position requires a proactive individual to act as a key support for outside sales, serving as a communication bridge between customers in Japan and regional offices (Zhuhai, Pune, Southampton, Philadelphia, Sunnyvale) to streamline interactions, manage expectations, and ensure clear, consistent cross-cultural and cross-time-zone communication.

The SAE will identify customer problems and/or opportunities, understand how PEI’s products provide solutions, and persuasively sell these solutions. They primarily communicate via phone and email, requiring strong organization, discipline, pace management, multitasking ability, and autonomy. They are accountable for achieving budgeted sales and gross profit targets for assigned accounts/territories.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance existing customer relationships to increase business volume and product diversity for PEI-Genesis by pursuing opportunities beyond those initiated by the customer.
  • Monitor and ensure, through consistent customer dialogue, that all price, delivery, quality, and special handling requirements requested by the customer are met in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Coordinate large bids, quotes, orders, or opportunities with the assigned Branch Manager, Product Manager, and Outside Sales representative.
  • Work with available resources, both within PEI and externally (including Manufacturers’ Representatives, Factory Representatives, and other sources), to assist customers and expand knowledge of product capabilities and solutions.

Qualifications

  • At least 4+ years of experience working in an assistant sales role for an international company in electrical & electronics industry. If has experience in connector industry is preferred.
  • Good Japanese and English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
  • A college or university degree is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.
