The Sanctuary Japan (TSJ) is a newly established private wellness retreat located in Kamakura. We are part of The Sanctuary World Group, with sister operations in Byron Bay (Australia), Vancouver Island (Canada), and the UK.
TSJ offers immersive, one-on-one wellness programs for international clients seeking to reset and restore their mental and physical health. Each program is delivered in a peaceful residential setting and includes personalized support through therapy, movement, nutrition, bodywork, and creative practices.

We host only one guest (or private party) at a time, and each program is customized to meet the guest’s goals and energy. As a personal trainer, your role is to support the guest’s physical wellbeing through gentle, holistic, and thoughtful movement sessions.
This position is ideal for personal trainers who are confident in private session formats and have a passion for personalized care. You will need to communicate fluently in English and be comfortable interacting with international guests in a relaxed, high-trust environment.

このポジションは、プライベートセッション形式に慣れている方や、個別対応を大切にするパーソナルトレーナーに理想的です。インターナショナルゲストが多くを占めるため、英語での円滑なコミュニケーションが必要となり、落ち着いた環境で海外ゲストと信頼関係を築ける方を歓迎します。

スキル・資格

- Provide 1:1 or small-group movement sessions focused on fitness, strength, mobility, and balance
- Assess the guest’s physical condition and tailor sessions to meet their wellness goals
- Incorporate elements of breath, mindfulness, or posture training where appropriate
- Communicate clearly in English with international guests, adapting style and tone to suit each individual
- Collaborate with other team members such as therapists, chefs, or yoga instructors to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Offer support and presence throughout the stay—not just in session time

応募資格・スキル
・ パーソナルトレーナーやフィットネス関連資格（NASM、ACE、NATA、NSCA、JHCAなど）を保有
・ 個別または少人数指導での3年以上の実務経験
・ 安心感と信頼を生むコミュニケーション力と対人スキル
・ ウェルネスや心身のつながり、個別対応に関心がある方
・ 英語：ネイティブまたは上級レベル必須
・ 日本語：不問（話せれば尚可）
・ 自律的に動ける、柔軟でプロフェッショナルな姿勢

業務内容

主な仕事内容
・ フィットネス、筋力トレーニング、モビリティ、バランスを中心とした1対1または少人数セッションの実施
・ ゲストの身体状態や目標に合わせたセッションのプランニング
・ 呼吸法、姿勢指導、マインドフルネス要素の導入（必要に応じて）
・ インターナショナルゲストと英語で丁寧にコミュニケーションを取り、個々に合わせた指導を行う
・ シェフやセラピストなど他のチームメンバーと連携し、ゲストに一貫した体験を提供
・ セッション外の時間にも、温かく思いやりのある対応を心がける

Work Style & Environment:

Casual, on-demand project-based work
Assignments typically run 2–3 weeks at a time
Sessions are conducted in a peaceful, private residence—not a gym or studio
Flexible approach—trainers co-create the rhythm of the week with the guest
Professionals should be based in or able to travel easily to Kamakura from Tokyo, Yokohama, or surrounding areas

勤務スタイル・環境
・ カジュアル契約（予約状況に応じたプロジェクトベース）
・ 通常は2～3週間の短期アサインメント
・ トレーニングは静かなプライベートレジデンスで行われ、ジムやスタジオではありません
・ 柔軟な進行スタイルで、ゲストと相談しながら週のリズムを作ります
・ 東京、横浜、または周辺エリアから鎌倉まで通勤できる方を想定しています

その他待遇、手当等

Approx. ¥20,000 per hour (based on experience and session format)

Applicants must hold valid working eligibility in Japan at the time of application (e.g., working visa, permanent residency, spouse visa).
