At Hyatt House Tokyo Shibuya, we integrate the following responsibilities under Guest Services: Front Desk, Bell Service, Guest Relations, BAR, Market, Pool, and Gym.
We currently have around 12 to 13 staff members including full-time employees, part-time workers, and temporary staff.
Due to the high volume of guests visiting us, we are looking to welcome new team members.

Job Descriptions:

  • Bell Service: Handling guests’ luggage, delivering it to rooms, arranging shipments, etc.
  • Front Desk: Check-in and check-out procedures using OPERA, handling payments, etc.
  • Guest Relations: Responding to requests from guest rooms, providing information about external facilities, assisting with reservations, arranging taxis, etc.
  • BAR/Market: Serving drinks at the BAR and handling retail operations in the Market area.
  • Pool/Gym: Managing these facilities, including checking water temperature, room temperature, chlorine levels, organization, etc.

Over 90% of our guests are from overseas, and you’ll rarely use Japanese when speaking with guests (except over the phone).However, Japanese is frequently used in internal communications and written correspondence (e.g., arranging taxis, delivery services).Therefore, a high level of Japanese communication skill is essential, as it is the working language within the hotel.

The basic working hours are 8 hours per shift.

Monthly overtime hours (average 12.6 hours)

Day shift

・8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

・9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

・12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

・1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Night shift

・11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. the following day <2-hour break> (for in-charge staff only)

・10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. the following day <2-hour break>
